A lot of people want to enter Defense/Government contracting as a broker for other companies’ products. It’s a viable market to enter, but it’s not as easy as many people think. If I play the role of the vendor who manufactures and item the Government wants to buy (I have been in this role). My practice is I’ll submit my bid to the Government and if you send me an RFQ I’ll send you the exact same price.

If you add your markup your price to the government will be higher than mine. If the award is LPTA you loose the bid. What is your strategy to be the lowest bidder?
